Responsible Pet Ownership Incursion with Emily and Michka

Yesterday Emily and Michka from Responsible Pet Education came to visit the students at Carlsruhe. Emily spoke to us about how to care for pets, feeding them, registration and council rules, dangerous pets and how to approach and handle pets. We were able to practise what we had learnt about approaching pets with Michka the poodle.

Thursday Activities - making presents for the Mother's Day Stall

Our cooks in the kitchen busily making caramel bread and butter custard. We ate it for morning tea on Friday and it was delicious!

The vases made from old bottles are carefully being decorated and
the scratch flowers will be added when they are for sale
at the Mother's Day Stall.

Floral cards and notebooks are being made with loving care especially for Mum.

Woven bookmarks and more homemade cards are also keeping us busy.

Felt beads made from merino tops will soon become necklaces for Mum.

We change our activities every week and add in new ones as well, so there will be a
wonderful selection ready for Mother's Day.
We are all having fun and thank you the Mums and Dads who have been able to help us.

New Soccer Goal Post

Special thanks to John, Laurie and Seamus, from  the Riddells Creek Men's Shed, who worked tirelessly through the heat to dig holes and erect our first goal post.
We are really enjoying using this to play soccer and score goals like the professionals!!

Cubbies and Animals

The environment at Carlsruhe is very different to Woodend Primary School. At playtime and lunchtime we can build cubbies and play with the animals. What fun we are having!
